Vernissage and Performance, 25'Joy, instability, hope... During her Live-Print-Performance, artist Silvia Menzel rhythmically stamps coloured fragments of emotions into the fibers of the canvas, improvising with different shapes and contents of the carved wooden panels, reflecting the complexity of our present.
Alongside with other large-format archaic woodblock prints, the artwork created during the performance will also be exhibited in the foyer throughout the festival.
Silvia Menzel, born in Cologne in 1956, was an actress and member of the collective at Germany’s first tent theatre, the Theaterhof Priessenthal, from 1984 to 1992. Since 1995, she has lived and worked in Tittmoning as a visual artist and playwright. A self-taught artist, she is a member of the Burghausen-based artists’ group ‘DIE BURG’. Soloexhibitions over the last 5 jears: 2021 „der rote Faden“ Murnau/Kunstverein, 2021 “ros(t)ige Zeiten“ Burghausen/„DIE BURG“, 2022 „an der Quelle“ Tittmoning/Burg, 2024 „Aussicht“ Landshut/Röcklturm, 2025 „spring“ Freilassing/Stadtgalerie
They dance together with the editta braun company in current productions and films. On this evening, these dancers – all born in the 1990s – will present their own works: a solo performance and two duets.
Solo for all ages 5 and over
Prokofiev’s “Peter and the wolf” tells us a tale of a young boy, his grandfather and the forest’s talking, thinking animals. Reimagined as a solo performance, the artist transforms into each character and narrates the story through his body, becoming young and old, predator and prey, inside and outside the story, accompanying the audience to the music’s world.

Duo, 20'
Two protagonists drift between reality, imagination, and the present moment. Lost in a fragmented world, they search for identity and traces of a possible future. Leaving comfort behind, they enter risk, exposing desire, conflict, and vulnerability. Their encounter unfolds as a physical dialogue of tension and release.

Horrorland explores the body as a space of memory, decision-making, and perception. Through movement, costume, light, and illusion, it builds a layered stage where real and imaginary blur. It reflects on identity, choice, and the embodied experience of existence. The body remembers what the mind forgets.
